Here
is the front of the Museo del Prado. It was big and artsy (go figure),
including several aspiring artists painting both outside and inside the
building. |

Here
is Goya's most famous painting, or the one I recognized the easiest. I
really liked Goya's stuff; they had a ton of it so it was great to see
the progression of his style. He ended up being my favorite artist of
the day. This painting is a rendition of the exection of Spanish loyalists
during the Napoleon's occupation of Madrid. It's blurry, but I took it
mainly to remind myself of the actual painting. |

This
is an el Greco painting of a story in the Bible where people start speaking
in tongues and flames appeared above their heads. I liked el Greco's style
a lot as well, he always created great lighting of his characters. This
picture is blurry and askew as well, but its the best I could do. |

I had never heard of this artist before, but I liked this painting a lot.
Its set somewhere in Spain but the jagged mountains reminded me of Colorado.
The artist's last name was Haes. |
