October 22

After spending several days on the Portugese beach, we decided to head into the countryside. From the (almost) all-knowing Lonely Planet we knew of a forest not too far from our current location, so we headed for that. The forest was so lush and "Secret Garden" like that we ended up staying there for 2 nights. I can't remember the name of the forest, and we don't have the Portugal Lonely Planet any more, but it was Borcaco (I think the portugese word for forest) something, and it was right beside the small town of Luso.

This picture was taken the day of our arrival in the forest. This is now a hotel, but it used to be a summer getaway for the royal family way back when, that's why the forest was created in the first place (according to Mr. Lonely Planet).
